Ryan Buczman is a striker who last played for Beercelona in 2016. One of the Class of 2015, he was an inaugural member of the team and played in their first and second seasons before returning on a short term loan in the third. He was a prolific goalscorer, with a deft touch, keen eye for goal and off the ball movement of which Rochdale legend Aaron Le Fondre has said "is like watching an olympic speed skater gliding through frozen quicksilver."

Early Life Edit

Beercelona Edit

Buczman was signed, along with Leon Elliot, from the Epcot Rose and Crown Academy for Beercelona's first game against Sangre Azteca on October 15th 2015. Scoring the team's only goal of the game. He went on to start 4 of the teams first five games, scoring each time despite having to cope with a persistent knee problem. At the end of the season he picked up the Top Goalscorer award.

In the second season he was dogged by injuries but still managed an average of a goal every two games in his six starts, including a goal of the season winning stunner in a 2-2 draw with America in his last ever appearance. At the end of his contract he went to ply his trade in South America.

Loan from South America

In early April 2018 it was announced that Buczman had agreed to a one week loan deal with the club. Helined up for the game against International, which also happened to be Leon Elliot's last on April 6th. At the end of the loan Hannah tried to convince Buczman to extend until the end of the season but terms couldn't be ironed out and Buczman returned to his native England for treatment on his ACL.

Legacy Edit

Buczman holds a few records even now at Beercelona. He is the only player to net in each of his first four starts and with 1 goals in 16 appearances, his goals to game ratio ranks as one of the highest in the game worldwide.
